THE ORIGINAL ICON

W230

The W230 is a beautifully crafted retro motorcycle that honors the legacy of Kawasaki's iconic W series. Powered by a single-cylinder SOHC 4-stroke air-cooled engine, it sits within a classic double-cradle frame. Its round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, dual gauge dials, spoked wheels, and metal fenders evoke the timeless elegance of Kawasaki's vintage design.

Designed to be lightweight and highly maneuverable, the W230 carries the spirit of the legendary "650-W1," first introduced in 1966. Though based on the KLX230, the W230 features a 233cc fuel-injected engine with specially tuned internal components, setting it apart from its predecessor. Its design details, such as the square tail light contrasting with the classic round turn signals, further emphasize its blend of old and new.

The bike’s suspension includes a telescopic front fork and twin rear shocks, while its braking system features single discs front and rear, paired with dual-channel ABS for added safety. With spoked wheels and versatile tires, the W230 combines retro style with modern practicality, offering a perfect ride for those who appreciate both nostalgia and performance.

The original icon since 1965

The beauty and classic style of the W family since 1965 has been passed on to the W230.

The W230 features a 233cc air-cooled, 4-stroke engine based on the KLX230, but with an exhaust sound enhanced to resemble that of the MEGURO SG. The engine's power output has been optimized for low to mid-range performance, offering a smooth and relaxed ride with good acceleration. Additionally, a balancer has been installed to reduce engine vibrations, increasing comfort while riding. The fuel injection system ensures stable and precise performance under all weather conditions, making starting easy and delivering smooth engine response.

The exhaust system of the W230 is designed to be both stylish and unique, positioned on the right side of the engine. The curved pipe extends from the engine to the muffler, highlighting its elegant shape. The mid-pipe features a catalytic converter to control emissions, and a heat shield covers the pipe, giving it a sleek and stylish appearance. The pipe above the muffler is designed with the same diameter as the muffler tip, creating a slim and cohesive look. The entire exhaust system is made of polished stainless steel, adding both luxury and durability.
